Summer is finally (FINALLY!) nearly here and it’s time to think about how to make the most of your time off at the caravan site.
We’ve put together a little list of ideas to make this year the best season at your caravan ever.
Remember all the Essentials
The first step to having the best caravan season ever is to avoid ruining the trip by forgetting something very important!
Even if you pride yourself on your amazing memory, you will benefit from sitting down and making a list of what you need to bring with you to your caravan.
Obviously this list includes things like tablets, laptops and games after your food and clothes are packed. But also take time to think about those little forgettable things that can make all the difference, like a few spare batteries or some extra fuel from the car.
It might be useful to bring a physical map too, in case your GPS or mobile phones fail you.
Copy your Documents
You’re so much more active when on holiday that it’s all too easy for important documents or cards to slip out of your pocket when running along the beach or making that amazing dive in the dying seconds of the swingball tournament.
Making some photocopies of your passport, driving licence and debit and credit cards can prove useful if the worst should happen.
We all love the classic caravan games like volleyball, but there are some great new games that can brighten up your trips. Here’s a few of our favourites.
Tiki Toss – The original game as well as the golf-based version ‘Tee Toss’ are like darts for beach lovers.
Outdoor Jenga – This giant version of the tower game is great fun. Keep an eye out for other enlarged classic games like Connect 4 and Tic Tac Toe.
Kan Jam Illuminate – Think glow-in-the-dark frisbee.
Free Film Downloads
If you know that the WiFi at the caravan site will be expensive, patchy or non-existent, take some time beforehand to download some films and TV shows to watch.
Practically all of the streaming services now offer the option to download videos to watch offline.
Take a scroll through Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer, All 4 and more to see what you can download to phones and tablets before you head off.
Sort Out your Fees with Money Exchange
Take the hassle out of paying your caravan fees by letting Money Exchange handle them for you. You’ll even save some money while you’re at it!
Money Exchange are registered and regulated by HMRC and the Financial Conduct Authority and have carried out more than a million transactions over the past 30 years. That’s how you know your money is in safe hands.
We can settle invoices on your behalf, making payments to your site owner in cash, by cheque, or via bank transfer.
